JANUARY 7
ROMP Chomp, ROMP Shop
The first Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry (ROMP) board meeting of 2016 will also be a 4-course sit-down dinner to thank patrons and supporters of ROMP.

JANUARY 12-FEBRUARY 5
Locust Grove Middle School, Locust Grove
I will be the poet-in-residence for 4 weeks with the EVERYWord program, teaching and facilitating poetry writing and performance with all students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

FEBRUARY 11
Catoosa High School Writers Series, Catoosa
During this exploration of writing careers, I will share my writing life with students.

MARCH 12
Your Poetry Autograph, ROMP, Locust Grove
The new exhibit at the Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry will be unveiled this day. Free refreshments and tours of the museum, ending with a performance of POEM LIFE.

MARCH 31
Scissortail Writing Festival, Ada
I will have a poetry ready at 11:00 at this festival.

APRIL 1
Oklahoma Library Association Annual Conference, Tulsa
I will be presenting a workshop on Poetry Games at this conference.

APRIL 9
ROMPfest, Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry, Locust Grove
2:00-5:00 p.m.
Celebrate National Poetry Month with this annual festival devoted to writing, reading and sharing poetry and playing plenty of poetry games. Includes a parade across the pasture and a poster poetry contest. Special guests include poets Leslie Hannah, Jessica Isaacs, and Roxann Yates.

APRIL 14-17
National Association for Poetry Therapy Annual Conference, Kansas City
I will be presenting a workshop called Your Poetry Autograph at this conference, and I will also be working as a volunteer during the whole conference.

APRIL 28-29
Howlers & Yawpers Creativity Symposium, Seminole
I will have a poetry reading during this event.

MAY 9
Founder’s Day, Locust Grove
During this annual event, I will have a ROMP display at the VFW Hall. Come visit all day.

MAY 21
Mayes County Poetry Day, ROMP, Locust Grove
Join us for the 2nd annual celebration of all things poetry in Mayes County. There will be activities for all ages during the day and a performance of POEM LIFE.

SEPTEMBER 24
Autumn Movement, ROMP, Locust Grove
Celebrate the return of autumn with autumn poetry, drumming, rhythm and special guest River Roberts, who will be offering a drum workshop and more.

NOVEMBER 19
ROMP Tellabration, ROMP, Locust Grove
I will be hosting and telling a story at this annual national event. The special storytelling guest will be Sequoyah Guess.
